     · For this thin ply and this small boat, I think that gluing it down using epoxy with temporary fasteners as jackster mentions is a good idea. Also good is his idea of sheathing it with epoxy and light FG cloth under the varnish to improve its durability. A clear finish over a thin plywood veneer is asking for some trouble on its own.
